Manor Lakes Central shopping centre expansion delivers new variety and amenity to the local community.

Construction of the new Manor Lakes Central expansion will start early 2019, generating approximately 300 construction jobs and more than 400 on-going full and part-time retail positions for the region.

At a cost of more than $60 million, the project will deliver a new-look Kmart, Best & Less, a new concept Anytime Fitness, a large format fruit and vegetable store, along with approximately 20 additional retailers.

The much-anticipated development is expected to attract new customers and retailers to the area and offer enhanced convenience for the local community.

Shoppers will be impressed by the new-concept 5200m2 Kmart store, featuring defined product areas, a central self-serve checkout that creates a clutter-free store entry and wider aisles for easy pram and wheelchair access.

A scheduled refurbishment of the existing centre will be completed in time for the Stage 2 opening in early-2020, resulting in a seamless and complementary connection between old and new.

According to Ranfurlie Asset Management CEO Mark Wilson, the company’s objective is to enhance the Manor Lakes town centre by delivering an active shopping experience where people can enjoy spending time with family and friends.

"Alfresco dining spaces will link indoor and outdoor public areas and connect to landscaped communal spaces and kids’ activity zones, complete with bike tracks and mini climbing walls,” said Mr Wilson.

Stage 2 of Manor Lakes Central will incorporate several family friendly elements including the very latest design in parent rooms, dedicated community areas, modern amenities and children’s interactive play areas along with free in-centre Wi-Fi.

To support increased traffic to the area, 500 new parking spaces will be constructed, taking total parking capacity to more than 900 cars.

Planning Approval for the extension was originally secured from the City of Wyndham in April 2018 with final Town Planning Approval following in late January this year.
